We will be holding our Annual Book and Art Sale featuring San Diego authors and illustrators in Room 108 at the Hahn School of Nursing. Come and pick up a unique and autographed book or illustration for that special someone. We can take cash and checks, but are not equiped to handle charge cards at this point in time.

Instructions for PAL members and self-published authors or illustrators wanting to participate

Please come to Room 108 at 1:15 p.m. to set up your children's books and/or illustrations. (Room 108 is the first room on the left at the start of the left-hand corridor when you are facing the main meeting room) Small table-top promotional displays are appropriate. How much available space there is will depend on how many authors/illustrators come with their books. You will likely have half a table available to you, and this is where you will sign books for your customers.

We use a central cashier, so unless you have the ability to take credit cards, we will collect cash or checks for all purchases at the door and reimburse you at the end of the day. (If you are able to accept credit cards with Square or PayPal the buyer can make their credit card purchase directly with you.)

Bring a list of your titles/artwork and the price of each one rounded off to the nearest dollar. The list is for Ann Collins, the coordinator and cashier. (FYI we don't deal with coins or tax)

Please also post your prices of your book(s) and/or Illustration(s) (a sticky note with the price on it works great) so those browsing can see the prices.

Plan to stay for the entire sale so we can close out the charges and see everyone gets paid by 4:30-4:45 p.m.

Note: the chapter does not make any money from the sale. The December Book Sale is a service we provide for our members, and it's a way for the membership to do some special holiday shopping.
