Lee Wind, has a master’s degree from Harvard and is an award-winning author of the PB Red and Green and Blue and White, illustrated Paul O. Zelinsky, a MG NF No Way, They Were Gay? Hidden Lives and Secret Loves, and theYA novel Queer as a Five Dollar Bill. He is the creator of the popular, 3 million page views, blog (I’m Here. I’m Queer. What The Hell Do I Read?) He is the SCBWI official blogger and is the director of education and programs for the Independent Book Publishers Association.
Pamela Fong, started as an author/illustrator a few years ago after many years as a graphic and web designer with her own boutique agency. Her first book, ROU & THE GREAT RACE was purchased at the 2019 SCBWI LA Conference by Raycraft Books and released in September 2020. It is described by Kirkus Review as “a simple but effective dystopian picture book.” She is represented by Abigail Frank at Sanford Greenburger Agency and is currently working on a wordless picture book with Lee Wade of Schwartz & Wade, (an imprint of Penguin Random House). And just this week, her third picture book project was purchased by Greenwillow (HarperCollins) in a two-book deal that was the result of a vigorous auction.
Ernesto Cisneros is the award-winning author of EFRÉN DIVIDED. He was born and raised in Santa Ana, California, where he still teaches. As an author, he believes in providing today’s youth with an honest depiction of characters with whom they can identify. His next book, Falling Short, is scheduled for release on March 15, 2022. Also, if you wait until the day of the meeting to register TO ATTEND ON-LINE you PROBABLY WON’T receive the Zoom link in time to attend the meeting live SINCE THE REGIONAL TEAM WILL BE AWAY FROM THEIR COMPUTERS, but you will receive the the recording link that will then be available for thirty days from date sent.
