Middle Grade and Young Adult Novel Mentorship and Intensive with Associate Editor, Sarah McCabe MG/YA Mentorship Registration

Online registration for this mentorship has closed. No mailed registration will be accepted. (Space is Limited)

The MG/YA Mentorship is open to sixteen participants who are unpublished in the MG/YA genres. This mentorship provides writers with the opportunity to work directly with Sarah McCabe, associate editor at Simon Pulse, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing. Mentees submit a fiction or non-fiction synopsis and one chapter (up to ten pages). Ms. McCabe will provide one-on-one feedback during individual Zoom meetings, as well as giving each person written notes. Participants polish their manuscripts before submitting a revised manuscript. At the MG/YA Intensive, Ms. McCabe will provide feedback in a group setting to highlight the positive aspects of each manuscript as well as giving each mentee a written critique.

Please be sure to read the special directions for Mentorship registration below. Registration is now closed.

To avoid PayPal problems that occurred with the Picture Book Mentorship, registration for this mentorship will be a two-tiered process:
1. Participants will register for the mentorship without paying.
2. Participants will be placed on a registration list.
3. The sixteen people accepted into the mentorship will receive an email with a special code they will use to finalize payment.

Important note: When you have been notified of acceptance you will have one (1) week from the date of the email confirmation to pay the MG/YA Mentorship fee or your spot will be released to the next person on the waitlist.

4. The remaining people will be notified they are on a waiting list. If we have seven or more people on the waiting list, we will find another editor or agent to mentor the second group.

Register below. Please note: Mentorship registration includes the culminating intensive fee.
