Breaking into the Work-For-Hire Market with Bitsy Kemper

Work For Hire: Is it For You?

What is “Work For Hire” and how is it different than traditional publishing? This interactive 60-minute presentation will take an inside look at writing for hire, and allow for up to 30 minutes of questions afterwards (wow, right?). Led by author Bitsy Kemper, you’ll learn:
* how “writing for hire” differs from traditional publishing
* questions to ask to see if it’s right for you
* tips on getting started
* cautions once you’re contract ready
* resources to comb before, during, after
No question is off limits! (Assuming it’s not related to trigonometry)

Reminder: This meeting will be on Saturday, October 27 from 2-4 pm.

You may have seen author Bitsy Kemper on CNN, CBS This Morning, or in literally hundreds of newspapers, radio and TV across the U.S. Maybe you drove by her on the freeway and didn’t even know it! With 16 work-for-hire titles to her name, and 5 non-fiction e-books in the Bedtime Stories app, Bitsy has presented in schools and libraries from NY to CA. When not raising three kids (four if you count her husband), you can find her at church, doing yoga, or eating dark chocolate (but hopefully not all three at the same time). Find out more at
